East Penn Achieves Ford Q1 Status

East Penn Manufacturing Co. is pleased to announce that the company has been
recognized by Ford Motor Company as a Q1 level supplier. The prestigious achievement signifies East Penn’s dedication to designing and implementing processes that generate quality products and service.

Ford Q1 is a set of fundamental quality and manufacturing disciplines which ensure a supplier’s success and drive a supplier’s continuous improvement.  Categories within Q1 include Quality Performance, Capable Systems, Warranty Performance, and Delivery Performance. Ford suppliers are expected to attain a certain level of performance, to put the tools in place to maintain excellence, and to improve with each passing year.

The company is no stranger to being honored with this recognition. One of the accomplishments the company’s Founder, DeLight Breidegam, was most proud of was the honor of receiving the Ford Q1 award in 1994. Graciously accepting the award, DeLight called it “prestigious evidence of our continuous commitment to customer quality.” He added, “If my father were still alive, this would be one of the proudest days of his life.”

Today, the company holds this recognition with the same high level of esteem that it did back then. “East Penn is honored to be recognized for this achievement by such a prestigious company.
