In May of 2013, East Penn received the Lehigh Valley Business Coalition of Healthcare’s Innovation Award at the coalition’s 2013 annual conference. This award is given to an employer that best demonstrates a unique and beneficial approach to employee health, wellness, and productivity. East Penn partnered with the Reading Health System, Capital Blue Cross, and Banyan Consulting to implement our Primary Care Plus program.

Primary Care Plus is the Reading Health System’s new approach to primary care that focuses on improved quality of care through prevention and integrated services. East Penn employees and their families benefit from an enhanced level of services through the Capital Blue Cross HMO and a Reading Health primary care physician.
