East Penn Manufacturing Company introduces the Deka pure lead, positive grid, telecommunications battery line. This 12-volt, 125 ampere-hour valve-regulated battery was specially created for applications with fluctuating temperatures, large loads, and extended back-up times. It has been successfully field-tested in traditional telecommunications sites, wireless, and DSL type cabinet applications. Deka’s line of these batteries include the 12AVR125L and the 12AVR125LLP (low profile) models. The compact design, especially the low profile model, allow technicians to install and reconfigure battery strings for backup power in applications with confined space.
Deka telecommunications batteries are constructed using the finest quality materials and state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques and are known world-wide for their high reliability and superior performance. These batteries feature proven epoxy post seals, front access terminals, built-in flame arrestors and a flame resistant polypropylene (UL94 94 V-O) jar and cover. The pure lead positive grid slows growth and promotes low gassing rates extending the battery element life. The self-resealing pressure release safety valves and durable construction prevent electrolyte leakage and minimize water loss throughout the life cycle. This valve regulation system also prevents the build-up of excessive internal pressure.
East Penn is a leading manufacturer of high quality lead-acid batteries for the automotive, telecommunications, marine, commercial, industrial and stationary markets. The company’s quality systems for its entire 390+ acre complex have been certified to ISO 9001 standards.
