East Penn Manufacturing Co. recently welcomed Norbert Maleschitz as the company’s Senior Vice President of Technology and Innovation. He reports directly to Robert Flicker, Chief Operating Officer.

In this position, Mr. Maleschitz oversees the company’s efforts in Engineering, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and R&D. He is working directly with these departments in the coordination of all activities that further advance technology and innovation throughout the company’s many

products and processes.

Mr. Maleschitz has worked in the Industry for over 27 years. He has been involved in many major projects with Automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer’s and Industrial applications, like Renewable Energy Storage solutions. He is a member of the Advanced Lead Acid Battery Consortium (ALABC) Executive Committee and has actively participated in several ALABC programs. He has also served as a member on the Technical Committee for the European Lead Battery Conference. He received the International Lead Award in 2012 for his contributions to the Industry in the areas of battery design, engineering, technical development, and quality. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management and a Bachelor Degree in chemistry.
