Transparency in Coverage
Transparency in Coverage
In October 2020, the Department of Labor, Health and Human Services, and the Treasury finalized rules regarding transparency requirements for certain health plans. The Transparency in Coverage (TiC) rules require disclosures of pricing and cost-sharing under plans be made available on a public website.
The Transparency in Coverage rules require public disclosure, via Machine Readable Files(“MRFs”), updated monthly, of the following information:
1. In-network provider rates for covered items and services; and
2. Out-of-network allowed amounts and billed charges for covered items and services.
To meet this requirement, we have included the links to the MRFs provided by Capital Blue Cross and Aetna. The data contained in these files is in machine-readable language such that the data will not be easy to interpret or search. Should you have any questions, please contact the East Penn Benefits Department at 610-682-6361 extension 3690 or Benefits@dekabatteries.com
